Appel Family Foundation

For more than 25 years, Max z”l and Elaine Appel have been pillars of our community and generous supporters of JFS. The Appel Family Foundation, established to honor their legacy of giving, continues through Elaine, their children, and their families. Guided by compassion, resilience, and a commitment to assisting those in need, their philanthropy has supported the JFS Food Pantry, Disability programs, Refugee Mental Health services, and provided emergency financial assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic and Marshall Fire. The Appels have also contributed to our atrium and lobby remodel, created a match fund for our 150th anniversary, and served as event sponsors. Their entrepreneurial spirit and exceptional dedication to JFS and our community inspire us every day. We are deeply appreciative of the Appels’ passion and benevolence today and always.
